President Paudel Embraces Tihar Brotherhood with Sisters
Kathmandu, October 29: In keeping with the auspicious tradition of Tihar, President Ramchandra Paudel was adorned with Tika and received blessings from his sisters, Sharda Pandit and Chanda Ojha. The ritual took place at the President’s residence, Shilataniwas, at the designated auspicious time of 10:51 am.
The Nepal Panchang Jury Committee had determined that this year’s most auspicious time for Bhaitika would be at 10:51 am on Wednesday. Bhaitika, celebrated on the final day of Yamapanchak, is a special occasion when sisters offer Tika to their brothers, and brothers reciprocate the affection by blessing their sisters. This exchange symbolizes the deep bonds of love and camaraderie shared between siblings during the joyous festival of Tihar.
