President Paudel Highlights Dhaulagiri as Sacred Land during Religious Event
In a notable address during a religious gathering at Sarbasiddhidham Panchakot of Baglung municipality-6, President Ram Chandra Paudel emphasized the significance of Dhaulagiri as a sacred land. He pointed out that the Kaligandaki River, which originates from the Dhaulagiri region and is intertwined with spiritual significance, along with revered sites like Muktinath area, Panchakot, Galeshwor Dham, and the Kalika temple, has bestowed upon the region a profound spiritual reputation.
President Paudel, addressing attendees, expressed his satisfaction with the development of essential infrastructure in Panchakot, noting the increasing importance of the area. He highlighted the cultural cohesion of Nepali society, citing shared traditions, norms, and values as unifying factors.
Acknowledging the growing influx of tourists to Panchakot, the President anticipated that it would not only foster religious tourism but also uplift the economic status of the entire Baglung district.
The President was warmly welcomed by Swami Kamalnayanacharya, the founder of Sarbasiddhadham Panchakot, during the event titled ‘Anantashree Brahmandiya Mahayagya,’ initiated by spiritual guru Kamalnayanacharya. President Paudel participated in the ‘hawan’ ritual as part of the Mahayagya, highlighting the event’s unique nature in Nepal.
It was announced that the proceeds from the Mahayagya would be utilized to further the construction works at Panchakot, underlining the community’s commitment to enhancing the spiritual and infrastructural landscape of the region.
The religious event is scheduled to continue until February 25, marking a significant occasion in the spiritual and developmental journey of Panchakot and its surrounding areas.
