President Paudel Issues Ordinance to Facilitate Investment
In a significant move to facilitate investment, President Ramchandra Paudel has issued the Ordinance Amending Some Nepal Acts Related to Investment Facilitation, 2081. This ordinance, which aims to streamline investment procedures, was issued following the recommendation of the Government of Nepal’s Council of Ministers and in accordance with Article 114 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal.
The announcement was made through a communiqué signed by Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, the Spokesperson at the Office of the President. The timing of the ordinance aligns with the commencement of the Third Investment Summit, which began today in the federal capital. The government expects this legislative amendment to enhance the country’s investment climate, potentially attracting more domestic and international investors to the summit.
