President Paudel Offers Worship to Seto Machchindranath

President Ramchandra Paudel visited the chariot of Seto Machchindranath on Saturday evening to offer prayers and pay homage in accordance with tradition.

The President performed ritual worship and had a darshan of the revered deity on the occasion of Chaitra Shukla Ashtami, as the chariot of Seto Machchindranath rested at Asan after being pulled there at midnight.

The annual Seto Machchindranath chariot procession commenced on Saturday, following its customary route from Machchhindrabahal, passing through Tindhara Pathshala, Jamal, Ratnapark, and Bhotahiti, before reaching Asan.

The festival is an important cultural and religious event in Kathmandu Valley, drawing crowds of devotees who gather to receive blessings and witness the sacred journey of the deity through the city streets.
