Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to Respond to Lawmakers’ Queries in House of Representatives Today
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to participate in a question and answer session with lawmakers in the House of Representatives (HoR) today. The session, scheduled for 1:00 pm, marks PM Oli’s first such engagement since his recent appointment.
As per Chapter 9 of the HoR Regulations, 2079 BS, the Speaker designates the first hour of a day in the first week of each month for lawmakers to direct questions on significant matters to the Prime Minister or relevant Ministers. This regulation ensures accountability and transparency within the government.
Prime Minister Oli, who secured a vote of confidence with a two-thirds majority last Sunday, will address various issues raised by the lawmakers. His participation in this session underscores his commitment to engaging with the legislative body and addressing their concerns directly.
This session is particularly significant as it follows PM Oli’s appointment for his fourth term on July 14, backed by the support of the Nepali Congress. The HoR and the public alike will be closely observing his responses to gauge his approach to governance and policy-making in this new term.
