Prime Minister Oli and Thai PM Shinawatra to Hold Bilateral Talks Today

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his Thai counterpart, Paetongtran Shinawatra, are set to hold a bilateral meeting today during Oli’s official visit to Thailand. The visit comes at the invitation of Prime Minister Shinawatra and marks the first official visit by a Nepali prime minister to Thailand.

Ahead of the meeting, Prime Minister Oli attended a welcome ceremony hosted by the Thai leader. The visit is expected to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation between Nepal and Thailand.

According to Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders are set to sign an agreement focused on cultural and tourism collaboration. Additionally, six memoranda of understanding (MoUs) will be exchanged between non-governmental and business organizations from both countries to boost economic and developmental ties.

Following the signing of agreements, Prime Ministers Oli and Shinawatra will hold a joint press conference. Later in the day, Oli is scheduled to attend a luncheon hosted by his Thai counterpart and meet with Thailand’s King, Maha Vajiralongkorn, for a courtesy visit.

Prime Minister Oli will conclude his visit and return to Nepal on April 5.
