
Prime Minister Prachanda Meets IFAD President


Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, who is in a Italy visit, met with Alvaro Lario, the President of the International Fund of Agricultural Development (IFAD), on Tuesday morning.
They discussed the review of various projects conducted by IFAD in Nepal and the relations between IFAD and Nepal, with a focus on the agricultural sector.
In addition to this meeting, on Monday, Prime Minister Prachanda also had a meeting with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Italy. Furthermore, he addressed a conference in his capacity as the President of the Least Developed Countries (LDC) and had a separate meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, on the same day.
Moreover, Prime Minister Prachanda held meetings with Nepali representatives in seven countries: Italy, Belgium, Spain, Croatia, Portugal, Austria, and Ireland. During these meetings, he engaged with the representatives of the Nepali People’s Progressive Forum in each respective country.
Prime Minister Dahal had left here for Italy on Saturday to attend the United Nations Food Systems Summit+ 2 Stocktaking Moment taking place at the FAO Headquarters in Rome of Italy.
