Probability of Rain for the Next Three Days in Kathmandu
The weather forecasting division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating a likelihood of cloudy skies and rain over the upcoming three days in Kathmandu and various provinces.
Currently, light to moderate rainfall has been reported in select areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Throughout the afternoon, there is a potential for light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in several hilly regions of the country, including Lumbini.
As the evening sets in, the likelihood of light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning, prevails in certain regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Moreover, some areas in these provinces, as well as other provinces, could experience heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Monday anticipates heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two locales within Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Looking ahead to Tuesday, there’s a potential for heavy to very heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two locations within Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. In addition, Koshi and Karnali provinces could experience heavy rain in one or two spots on Tuesday.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology encourages residents and travelers to stay informed about these weather conditions and take necessary precautions as heavy rain and thunderstorms could impact various parts of the country.
