Prohibitory Order in Birgunj Lifted as Situation Normalizes

The District Administration Office in Parsa has decided to lift the prohibitory order in Birgunj city starting from 7:00 AM today.

The decision was made during a meeting of the District Security Committee chaired by Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal. The committee concluded that the security situation in the city has largely returned to normal following recent tensions.

According to Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra, normalcy is gradually being restored in Birgunj.

The prohibitory order had been enforced for four days after a clash between two communities during a Hanuman Jayanti procession led to unrest, prompting authorities to impose curfew measures to maintain peace and security.
