Promises made to people should not be forgotten: NC Gandaki President Sharma
Nepali Congress (NC) Gandaki Province President Shukraraj Sharma said that the promises made to the people during the elections should not be forgotten.
At a meeting of the NC Gandaki province committee on Monday, Sharma said NC emerged as the first party in the provincial and federal parliamentary elections due to trust and support of the general public.
“The promises and commitments we made to the people should in no way be forgotten,” he noted, adding, “We had made a resolution before the people. Now is the time to translate the trust into action. All responsible party colleagues should perform in a way to give positive results”.
Also on the occasion, NC central member and Gandaki province parliamentary party leader Surendra Raj Pandey expressed the confidence that environment would be made for NC to take the leadership of Gandaki province government soon.
The number of ministries would not be increased in the NC-led government, he said, expressing the confidence that the party would work to satisfy the people.
NC Gandaki province spokesperson Madhav Prasad Bastola said the province committee has decided to organize interaction and orientation for party secretaries, treasurers and joint-secretaries of 11 districts in the province.
He also said that the party decided to run a campaign of membership distribution in all 11 districts to expand the organization of the party.
