Proton e.MAS7 Launches in Nepal: A Step Toward Sustainable Mobility

Proton has officially entered the international electric vehicle (EV) market with the launch of its first EV model, the Proton e.MAS7, in Nepal. The launch event, organized by Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Proton in Nepal, was graced by His Excellency Tuan Mohd Firdaus Azman, Chargé d’Affaires of the Malaysian Embassy in Kathmandu, marking a significant milestone for both Proton and the Shanker Group, a prominent Nepali conglomerate.

Unveiled at the Hyatt Regency Kathmandu, the event saw the presence of notable personalities including Dr. Li ChunRong, CEO of Proton; Mr. Zhang Qiang, CEO of Pro-Net; and Mr. Lim Meng Thong, VP & ISD Director, alongside several key figures from the business, automotive, and media sectors.

The Proton e.MAS7, which debuted in the Malaysian market in December 2024, is now available in Nepal in two variants — Prime and Premium — catering to the country’s growing demand for eco-friendly vehicles.
