Qatari Emir Arrives in Kathmandu for State Visit
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, arrived in Kathmandu today for a two-day state visit, at the invitation of Nepali President Ram Chandra Paudel.
During his visit, the Emir is scheduled for official talks with President Paudel at Shital Niwas, the Presidential residence. President Paudel will also host a state banquet in honor of his Qatari counterpart.
On April 24, the Emir will engage in bilateral discussions with Nepali Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. These talks are expected to culminate in the signing of several bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding, aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani is set to depart for Qatar on the evening of April 24, concluding his brief visit.
