Rabi Lamichhane’s popularity soars; another big win in Chitwan-2

Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has emerged victorious in the by-election held in Chitwan Constituency-2, securing a seat as Member of the House of Representatives (HoR).

With an impressive lead, Lamichhane secured 54,276 votes, while his closest rival Jitnarayan Shrestha, the Nepali Congress (NC) candidate and also the common candidate of the ruling alliance, received 11,114 votes.

The by-election, which took place on Sunday, saw a significant turnout of voters who showed their support for Lamichhane and his party.
