Rainfall to Decrease Starting Today, Gradual Weather Improvement Expected
After several days of continuous rainfall, the meteorological outlook is set to improve as the downpour is expected to decrease starting today. Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari from the Hydrology and Weather Forecast Division indicated that the weather conditions are gradually improving, beginning from the western regions of the country.
“Today marks the turning point as the persistent rainfall is predicted to subside. However, certain regions might experience light to moderate rain,” stated Adhikari. He also cautioned that some parts of the country may still experience these intermittent showers.
Moreover, there is a chance of windstorms in specific areas of the Madhes and Lumbini provinces during the afternoon hours. Notably, heavy rainfall was recorded last night in isolated locations within the Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces. Presently, precipitation is occurring in a few spots across the Koshi province and a couple of locations in other provinces.
The weather bulletin issued by the Division highlighted the potential for light to moderate rain within the Kathmandu Valley today.
This shift in weather patterns brings a sense of relief to the region, as the gradual decrease in rainfall offers respite from the recent inclement weather conditions. The public is advised to stay informed about local weather updates and be prepared for any minor disruptions caused by the lingering rain in certain areas.
