Rastriya Prajatantra Party quits government, ministers resign en masse

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has quit the government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’
The Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Rajendra Lingden, along with RPP leaders participating in the Council of Ministers submitted their resignations to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday afternoon.
A joint meeting of the RPP central work execution committee and the parliamentary party held this morning decided to withdraw support and thereby leave the government.
However, RPP has not yet withdrawn its support to the government.
