Rastriya Prajatantra Party to remain neutral in vice-presidential election

A meeting of the Central Work Execution Committee of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided not to cast a vote in the coming vice-presidential election taking place on March 17.

The meeting held at the party headquarters, Dhumbarahi, took the decision to remain neutral in the election, said RPP leader Rajaram Shrestha.

The RPP also asked the government to withdraw the decision of reducing subsidy provided to farmers in chemical fertilizer, to make arrangements for easy and smooth supply of fertilizer on time and to initiate a process for the establishment of fertilizer industry in the country for long-term solution of chemical fertilizer.

The meeting also drew the government’s attention to cap the interest rate of banks immediately as it has been making negative impacts on the overall economic sector as well as to maintain financial balance in the country.
