Rabi Lamichhane, the President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has called on party members and critics to exercise restraint, maintain decency, and exhibit discipline while commenting and criticizing the party’s activities. In a meeting held today in Budhanilkantha Municipality, President Lamichhane emphasized the importance of conducting discussions and expressing opinions in a polite and disciplined manner.
“We are open to accepting constructive criticism, but it should be conveyed with respect and in a dignified manner,” stated President Lamichhane, emphasizing the need for civil discourse within the party. He urged party members to prioritize the principles of restraint, decency, and discipline in their interactions, both within the party and in public discourse.
Furthermore, President Lamichhane addressed the media, urging them not to misinterpret statements made by RSP MPs and leaders.
Highlighting the RSP’s autonomy from other political parties, President Lamichhane reaffirmed the party’s commitment to selflessly and unconditionally support the government in addressing the issues faced by the people. He acknowledged the government’s efforts to combat corruption, stating, “The government has taken the initiative to open the anti-corruption file. We should not play games with the government’s intent and power.” President Lamichhane expressed the RSP’s willingness to support the government in addressing corruption, both in the present and past, if the government demonstrates its commitment to resolving corruption cases from all periods.
