Rs 200,000 Fine Imposed on Tiptop Sweet Shop for Substandard Sweets

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has levied a hefty fine of Rs 200,000 on the Tiptop Sweet Shop, situated in Nagal, Kathmandu, due to the sale of substandard sweets.

Metro Police Chief Rajunath Pandey revealed that the metropolis took swift action against the Tiptop Sweet Shop after uncovering its sale of inferior-quality confectionery.

The crackdown was initiated in response to a customer complaint about the sale of spoiled sweets at the establishment. Pandey stated, “Last night, a customer there complained to us that spoiled sweets were sold.”

In addition to the fine, the shop has been directed to adhere to established standards concerning the quality of food products.
