RSP Chair Rabi Lamichhane Sent Back to Pokhara Following Statement in Cooperative Funds Case
Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), provided his statement at the District Attorney’s Office in Parsa on Wednesday. Following the statement, the Office decided to send him back to Pokhara for further proceedings. Lamichhane had been arrested earlier in connection with an investigation into allegations of misappropriation of cooperative funds.
As of the time of this report, Lamichhane was at Simara Airport in Bara, awaiting transfer. The Chief of the District Attorney’s Office, Bholanath Niraula, and his team oversaw the recording of Lamichhane’s statement.
According to Parsa District Police Office Spokesperson Kishor Lamsal, Lamichhane will be escorted to Kaski via Kathmandu under police supervision. Further developments in the case are anticipated as the investigation progresses.
