RSP Lawmaker Calls for Resignation of Foreign Minister Saud

During a House of Representatives meeting, parliamentarians have raised concerns over the controversial statement made by Foreign Minister NP Saud. The minister, during an interview with Indian media while visiting India, claimed that the Nepalese government was unaware of Nepal’s Lumbini being included in India’s map displayed in the Parliament building.

Addressing the issue at the meeting, Rashtriya Swatantra Party Lawmaker Asim Shah expressed strong dissatisfaction, stating, “The Foreign Minister gave an interview on Aaj Tak. When the reporter repeatedly questioned the dispute regarding Kapilvastu and Lumbini’s inclusion in undivided India, raised by the opposition party, he repeatedly responded that my government is not aware. Such a response, even if it jeopardizes our country’s integrity and sovereignty, calls for the resignation of a foreign minister who claims to have no information.”
