Santoshi Shrestha clinches gold medal in women’s race

Santoshi Shrestha from Bagmati Province won the gold medal in the women’s 10,000 meters race at the ongoing 9th National Games in Pokhara. She completed the distance in 36 minutes and 12.36 seconds.

Rajpura Pachhai from Nepal Police Club and Puspa Bhandari from the Armed Police Force Nepal secured second position and third positions respectively.

Pachhai finished in 36 minutes 29.45 seconds, and Bhandari 37 minutes 4.2 seconds. The competition was organized at the Pokhara Stadium today.

“My physical and mental strengths helped me win the medal, and I am much satisfied with this triumph,” said an elated Shrestha, who also won the gold medal in the 2019 South Asian Games in Nepal. (RSS)
