SC Verdict Expected Today in B&C Medical College Case

The Supreme Court is poised to deliver its verdict today in the case filed by Durga Prasai, the operator of the proposed B&C Medical College, against the Medical Education Commission.
The case challenges the Commission’s decision to deny permission for the operation of the medical college and is currently being reviewed by the Supreme Court.
Prasai had lodged a writ petition against the Commission after it refused permission to begin operations at the B&C Medical College in Jhapa.
Following the final hearing on March 19, conducted by a bench comprising Supreme Court Justices Kumar Chundal and Saranga Subedi, today has been set as the date for announcing the verdict.
