Senior Artist Ram Prasad Khanal Conferred Honorary Membership by Nepal Film Artists Association

The Nepal Film Artists Association has bestowed honorary membership upon senior folk and duet singer, filmmaker, and journalist Ram Prasad Khanal in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the fields of music, film, literature, and journalism.

At a special ceremony held at the association’s office, association president and veteran filmmaker Mohan Niraula presented the honorary membership to Khanal. The event was attended by office bearers, members of the working committee, and artists affiliated with the association.

The decision to confer the honorary membership was made during the tenure of former president Rabindra Khadka, but its implementation had been delayed due to Khanal’s stay abroad. President Niraula affirmed that the current working committee honored Khanal as per the previous decision, acknowledging his invaluable contributions both in Nepal and internationally.

Expressing his gratitude upon receiving the honorary membership, Khanal extended his appreciation to the association’s former and current leadership, including President Khadka. He pledged to continue contributing to the creative sectors to the best of his abilities.

Former president Rabindra Khadka, unable to attend the ceremony due to prior commitments, sent his congratulations and best wishes to Khanal. Currently residing in the United States, Khanal also serves as the president of the International Artists Forum.
