Shashank Koirala elected to Federal Parliament from East Nawalparasi-1

Nepali Congress leader Shashank Koirala has been elected to Federal Parliament from East Nawalparasi, constituency 1.
He obtained 27,067 votes against Krishna Prasad Poudel, Central Member of CPN-UML.
Poudel received 25,047 votes. Rajan Gautam of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party came in third with 24,005 votes.
