Sichuan Airlines, a Chinese Carrier to Make Maiden International Landing at PRIA Tomorrow

Pokhara Airport will see its first international flight tomorrow.

Sichuan Airlines will be the pioneering international carrier to touch down in Pokhara, with a scheduled flight from Chengdu Airport in China.

This event is set to take place on June 21, wednesday, with 130 passengers anticipating the inaugural flight.

Ever since its inauguration on January 1, 2023, Pokhara Regional International Airport has been only catering to domestic flights, connecting the beautiful city of Pokhara with various destinations within Nepal.

According to Jagannath Niraula, spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Authority, the chartered aircraft of Sichuan Airlines is slated to arrive at Pokhara Airport at 9:30 on Wednesday. Niraula further revealed that the aircraft will undergo a one-hour layover in Pokhara before proceeding to Kathmandu and eventually returning to China on the same day.
