Six DIGs of Nepal Police Recommended for Promotion to AIG

Six Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of Nepal Police have been recommended for promotion to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG).
A meeting of the promotion committee held on Thursday finalized the list, with DIG Chandrakuber Khapung topping the recommendation.
Following him on the list are Lalmani Acharya, Krishnahari Pokharel, Dan Bahadur Karki, Rajan Adhikari, and Dr. Manoj Kumar KC.
The promotion has been recommended based on seniority and performance as per the criteria set for advancement to the AIG rank. Among those recommended, Khapung, Acharya, and Sharma were inducted into the Nepal Police service in Kartik 2052 BS, while the other three joined as police inspectors in 2054 BS.
The final promotion decision will be formalized upon government approval.
