Snowfall and Rain Expected Across Nepal Starting Friday Evening

Nepal is set to experience widespread rainfall and snowfall from Friday evening due to a westerly disturbance, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division announced today.
In a special winter weather bulletin, the Department reported that the westerly low-pressure system will lead to partly to generally cloudy conditions across most regions of the country.
High hilly and mountainous areas in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces are expected to see light to moderate snowfall from Friday afternoon through Saturday. Similar snowfall is likely in some mountainous regions of Gandaki, Bagmati, and Koshi provinces.
Additionally, light rainfall is predicted in various parts of the country during this period.
The Department has also warned of a potential drop in temperatures as this new weather pattern develops, urging the public to take necessary precautions against the cold.
