The Pathivara area experienced snowfall accompanied by light rain last night, marking the third snowfall of the season.
Rajendra Mahat, an employee at the Pathivara Area Development Committee, confirmed that previous snowfalls occurred in December and January. The recent snowfall has led to a drop in temperature at the revered religious site, situated at an altitude of 3,794 meters.
Executive Director of the committee, Prajin Hangbang, noted that snowfall typically boosts the number of tourists visiting the area each year. Meanwhile, locals, who had been concerned about the lack of rainfall affecting crop growth, welcomed the snowfall as a much-needed relief.
