Snowfall Brings Relief to Farmers in Manang

Farmers in the upper region of Manang are delighted with the recent snowfall, which has covered areas from the district headquarters in Chame to Upper Manang.
According to farmer Yangdung Gurung, timely snowfall is crucial for agriculture in the region, as it serves as the primary source of water for irrigation. Delayed snowfall often disrupts farming, as frozen rivers, streams, and lakes make irrigation difficult.
Farmer Serap Bista noted that while the snowfall arrived late, it will still benefit apple orchards, vegetable farming, and food crop production.
Meanwhile, the snowfall has also boosted tourism, attracting more visitors to the snow-covered mountains.
