Special Court Finds Sudurpashchim CM’s Wife Guilty of Using Fake Certificates
Gita Sodari, the wife of Sudurpashchim Chief Minister Dirgha Sodari, has been convicted of corruption by a division bench of the Special Court. The bench, chaired by Tek Narayan Kunwar and comprising members Ram Bahadur Thapa and Ritendra Thapa, found Gita guilty of using fraudulent academic certificates to secure employment.
The case against Gita was initiated by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) following a complaint alleging misuse of educational credentials. It was revealed that Gita had purportedly utilized a Grade 10 examination certificate issued by the Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, to obtain higher education qualifications and subsequently secure a teaching position at Shiva Secondary School in Dhangadhi-9.
