Standard Chartered Bank Announces Revised Interest Rates Effective December 17
Standard Chartered Bank Nepal (SCB) has unveiled a new set of interest rates, taking effect from December 17. The adjustments cover various account types, including savings, fixed deposits, and institutionalized deposits.
According to the updated rates, depositors with savings accounts can now enjoy interest rates ranging from a minimum of 3.6 percent to a maximum of 4.65 percent. Notably, a fixed interest rate of 5.65 percent has been set for savings accounts linked to remittances.
For fixed deposit accounts, SCB has introduced a revised scale, offering depositors a minimum interest rate of 5 percent and a maximum of 8.56 percent. This marks a change from the previous rate of 8.97 percent.
In the realm of institutionalized deposits, SCB is set to provide a 4.75 percent interest rate, with a base rate of 7.84 percent, ensuring competitive returns for institutional clients.
Furthermore, Standard Chartered Bank has maintained a fixed interest rate of 12.84 percent for loans issued by the bank, providing clarity for customers seeking financial solutions.
