Summit Air Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing at TIA Due to Technical Glitch

A Summit Air flight bound for Lukla was forced to make an emergency landing at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Monday morning following technical complications mid-flight.

According to TIA spokesperson Rinzi Sherpa, the aircraft encountered issues while flying over the Phaplu region, prompting the pilot to initiate an emergency return to Kathmandu.

The plane landed safely at TIA at 7:24 a.m. All 19 individuals on board, including passengers, the pilot, and crew members, were unharmed.

A technical team is currently inspecting the aircraft to identify and resolve the problem, the airport authority confirmed.
