Swearing-in ceremony held for Gandaki’s CM and two ministers

Newly-appointed Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey and two ministers without a portfolio of Gandaki Province Government have taken the oath of office and secrecy today.

Province Chief Prithvi Man Gurung administered the oath of office and secrecy to the Chief Minister and the two ministers amid a ceremony held at the Province Chief’s office.

Sushila Simkhada and Saraswoti Aryal were sworn in as the Ministers without Portfolios on the occasion. Simkhada was elected the Province Assembly member from the CPN (Maoist Centre) while Tiwari was from the Nepali Congress.

The Office of the Chief Minister said that the provincial Council of Ministers would be expanded and the allocation of ministerial portfolios would be done soon.

Province Chief Gurung appointed Nepali Congress provincial assembly parliamentary leader Pandey to the post of Chief Minister on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pandey assumed office today itself. On the occasion he said the Council of Ministers would be expanded within a week.
