T20 WC: India beats Zimbabwe to meet England in semis

India defeated Zimbabwe by 71 runs in their T20 World Cup encounter on Sunday at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne and finished as winners of Group 2.

Opting to bat first, India was off to a shaky start. However, The fifties from KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav powered India to a competitive 186/5 in their 20 overs in their final Group 2, Super 12 match.

In the second innings, Zimbabwe was bowled out for 115 with quick wickets by Indian bowlers. Ravichandran Ashwin picked up 3 wickets, followed by Shami and Hardik at 2 wickets. Bhuvi, Axar, and Arshdeep picked one each.

India will play the next game with the runner-up of Group 1, England in the semifinal on Thursday.
