The semi-final lineup for the T20 World Cup has been set, following a thrilling conclusion to the Super Eight stage which saw Afghanistan secure a historic spot in the final four, knocking out Australia in the process.

Trinidad and Tobago will host the first semi-final showdown between South Africa and Afghanistan at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba. South Africa, topping Group 2 with an unbeaten record, will aim to extend their dominance against a resilient Afghanistan side on Wednesday, June 26, at 8:30 PM local time.

Meanwhile, in Guyana, the second semi-final will feature an epic clash between India and England at the Guyana National Stadium on Thursday, June 27, at 10:30 AM local time. India, unbeaten in the tournament so far, will seek redemption against England, the defending T20 World Cup champions.

Afghanistan secured their place in the semi-finals after a hard-fought victory over Bangladesh in St Vincent. They held their nerve in a rain-affected match, posting 115/5 and restricting Bangladesh to 105, clinching an 8-run victory via the DLS method.

India booked their semi-final berth with a commanding win over Australia, setting the stage for a highly anticipated rematch against England, who famously defeated them by 10 wickets in the previous T20 World Cup.
