T20 WC: Zimbabwe defeats Pakistan by 1 run
Zimbabwe shocked Pakistan in their Group 2 encounter in Perth on Thursday.
Zimbabwe were restricted to 130-8 after electing to bat first but their bowlers choked Pakistan to 129-8 for a memorable win in the Super 12 match in Perth.
It was heartbreak for Pakistan for the second time in five days after they lost a final-ball epic against arch-rivals India at a packed MCG on Sunday.
Pakistan needed three off the final ball but could only manage one with Shaheen Afridi run out coming back for a second with Zimbabwe prevailing by one run.
Zimbabwe, who came through the first round in Australia to reach the Super 12, are third in Group 2 behind South Africa.
Only the top two reach the semi-finals.
