T20 WC 2022: New Zealand vs Afghanistan match abandoned

The T20 World Cup match between New Zealand and Afghanistan was washed out due to persistent rain on Wednesday.
The second match of the day was scheduled to start at Nepal’s 1.45 PM at the Melbourne Cricket Ground but rain forced the players to remain indoors.
For both New Zealand and Afghanistan, Wednesday’s game was their second outing in the Super 12 stage.
Afghanistan and New Zealand share points after the match is called off.
