Tanahu-1: RSP’s Wagle shows no signs of slowing down in vote count
The by-election for House of Representatives (HoR) member held in Tanahu-1 on Sunday shows Dr. Swarnim Wagle of RSP leading by a significant margin.

According to the chief returning officer Komal Prasad Acharya, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Dr. Swarnim Wagle has obtained a total of 17,902 votes so far, which is a significant lead over the other two main candidates, Nepali Congress leader Govinda Bhattarai, who is also the common candidate of the ruling coalition, and CPN-UML candidate Sarbendra Khanal, who received 10,228 votes and 5,866 votes respectively.
At 11:45 pm last night, the process of counting votes commenced, which marks the beginning of the crucial phase in determining the outcome of the election.
In the Tanahu-1 constituency, comprising 42 wards, a total of 63,757 votes were cast, indicating a substantial turnout for the election.
