Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken the oath of office and secrecy, marking the beginning of his third consecutive term. The grand oath ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan was attended by dignitaries including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda of Nepal and heads of various countries.

Prime Minister Modi has formed a 72-member cabinet, which includes 31 Cabinet Ministers, 5 Ministers of State with Independent Charge, and 36 Ministers of State. Many ministers from Modi’s previous term have retained their positions, ensuring continuity in key portfolios.

Notably, defense, home, roads and highways, finance, and external affairs ministries continue to be led by Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S. Jaishankar respectively, maintaining stability in critical departments. BJP president JP Nadda has also been included in the cabinet. The new cabinet features nine new faces alongside seasoned leaders.
