Three-Day Adventure Trek Organized to Mark International Women’s Day

On the occasion of the 115th International Women’s Day, the Women Tourism Entrepreneurs Forum (OTEF) has launched a three-day adventure trek starting today.
With support from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism of Gandaki Province, the trek has been initiated from Pokhara under the theme “Conquering Heights, Breaking Boundaries.” The journey will cover Ghandruk, Tadapani, Dobato, and conclude at the Mulde Viewpoint, according to OTEF President Uma Regmi Bhandari.
She stated that the trek was organized in the context of Pokhara Visit Year 2025, and that a 28-member promotional team would conduct an on-site study and observation of the prospects and challenges of trekking tourism. “This campaign will contribute to the success of Pokhara Visit Year 2025 by supporting the metropolitan office’s target of attracting 2 million tourists to Pokhara,” she added.
The team was bid farewell from Pokhara by Gandaki Provincial Assembly Member Devaka Pahari, Gandaki Province Tourism Secretary Kuman Singh Gurung, the personal secretary to the Minister of Tourism, Jeevan Uchchai Thakuri, Pokhara Visit Year 2025 Coordinator Gopi Bahadur Bhattarai, and representatives of tourism-related organizations under the Pokhara Tourism Council.
