Top Leaders Should Unite on National Issues: Rabi Lamichhane
Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane has called for unity among top leaders to address national issues and steer the country towards development. Speaking at the inauguration of the Bharatpur Visit Year, Lamichhane stressed the importance of collective action for the benefit of the nation and future generations.
In a remarkable gathering on the banks of the Narayani River in Chitwan, attended by approximately 50,000 individuals including Prime Minister Prachanda, former prime ministers, chief ministers, parliamentarians, singers, and artists, Lamichhane emphasized the significance of leaders coming together on a common platform.
Lamichhane remarked, “Rarely do we witness such a convergence of top leaders. It’s a powerful sight for the people of Nepal. To ensure the country’s progress and secure the future of our youth, leaders must unite on national agendas. We have the potential to bring about significant change if we work together. From current, former, and potentially future prime ministers, this platform holds immense potential.”
Highlighting the influence of the audience, Lamichhane added, “Yet, the true power lies with the people. When the power vested here is acknowledged by those in authority, the nation will undergo transformation.”
The event saw the presence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, former Prime Ministers Sher Bahadur Deuba, KP Sharma Oli, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhalnath Khanal, and former Council of Ministers Chairman Khilraj Regmi on the same stage, symbolizing a rare display of unity among Nepal’s political elite.
