Tourist Sites in Bhojpur See New Push for Preservation and Promotion

The scenic hilltops of Kailash Parbat and Harit Hill in Bhojpur district are receiving renewed attention as local authorities ramp up efforts to preserve and promote them as key tourist destinations.

Located in Sikretar of Arun Rural Municipality-7, the hills have witnessed a steady rise in domestic tourist footfall in recent times. The local government is now working to transform the area into a fully developed tourist hub.

“We are actively working to enhance these sites and establish them as major tourist attractions,” said Kumar Thapa, Ward Chairman of Arun Rural Municipality-7. According to him, new trekking routes and supportive infrastructure are under construction to improve accessibility and visitor experience.

The provincial government has also lent support to the initiative, contributing to the development efforts. Thapa added that there are broader plans to create an integrated tourism circuit that includes Kailash Parbat, Harit Hill, Gaurishankar Mandir, and Singhadevi Mandir.

Local residents have welcomed the efforts, expressing hope that both domestic and international tourism will grow, bringing economic and cultural benefits to the region.
