Tribhuvan University Sets World Record

In a historic achievement, Tribhuvan University (TU) has secured a spot in the Official World Record (O.W.R.) for hosting the largest convocation ceremony in terms of graduating students and physical presence.

The 49th Convocation Ceremony, held at Dashrath Rangasala on Monday, witnessed an impressive gathering of more than 26,000 attendees, setting a new benchmark for convocation events. The O.W.R. certification specifically acknowledges the remarkable feat achieved by TU, with over 12,415 students participating in the ceremony, alongside parents, awardees, and distinguished guests.

TU Chancellor, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ and President Ram Chandra Paudel graced the occasion with their presence, addressing the gathering and emphasizing the significance of the academic milestone. The ceremony served as a momentous celebration of educational achievements, showcasing the unity and strength of the academic community at Tribhuvan University.
