Truck Carrying Cooking Oil Plunges into Trishuli River

A truck transporting cooking oil from Simara to Kathmandu has fallen into the Trishuli River this morning, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhesraj Rijal of the District Police Office, Chitwan. The vehicle, with registration number Na. 6 Kha 6283, veered off the road and plunged into the river at Pachhiskilo in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29.
Authorities have launched a search operation to locate the truck and rescue the driver and his helper, who are feared to have drowned. A local police team from Muglin has already arrived at the scene to assist in the efforts.
