‘TU Vice-Chancellor appointment process underway’
In a recent meeting with the office-bearers of the Gorkha Journalist Society Nepal at his official residence in Baluwatar, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ shed light on the ongoing process of appointing a vice-chancellor at Tribhuvan University (TU). Amidst speculations circulating on social media platforms, the Prime Minister clarified that the appointment process is underway and emphasized the need for factual and reliable information dissemination.
Prime Minister Dahal urged media outlets to uphold the principles of accuracy and credibility, cautioning the public against forming opinions solely based on social media content. Furthermore, he assured that a decision regarding the recent Balkumari incident report is imminent.
Reflecting on his recent diplomatic endeavors, Prime Minister Dahal highlighted efforts to bolster international relations, aiming to enhance Nepal’s global visibility. He also acknowledged the crucial support from Gorkha locals, emphasizing his commitment to the district’s development.
Regarding economic initiatives, the Prime Minister emphasized the government’s dedication to revitalizing struggling industries, including the Gorakhkali rubber industry. He outlined the government’s overarching objectives of promoting good governance, social justice, and economic prosperity, calling for media support in these endeavors.
During the meeting, journalists representing Gorkha district appealed to Prime Minister Dahal for increased attention towards developmental projects in their region.
