Two Arrested for Murder of Former Minister of State Ramchandra Raya
Sarlahi police have arrested and made public two individuals for their alleged involvement in the murder of former Minister of State Ramchandra Raya.
The District Police Office in Sarlahi has identified the suspects as 25-year-old Ram Ujain Raya of Kavilasi Municipality-3 and 46-year-old Birendra Raya of Chandranagar Rural Municipality-1, Ratanpur. Both individuals were employed as helpers at Raya’s residence.
According to police, the motive behind the murder is believed to be differences of opinion regarding land and financial greed.
Ramchandra Raya, a permanent resident of Malangwa Municipality-4, was found murdered on the night of July 22 at a farmhouse in Chandranagar Rural Municipality-1, Ratanpur. The 81-year-old former state minister’s death has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting swift action from local authorities.
