Two Chinese Nationals Arrested in India, Deportation Proceedings Underway

Two Chinese nationals, Deng Chonckon and Meng Shouguo, have been discovered allegedly residing illegally in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida with expired visas, as confirmed by the police on Friday.

According to a report from the PTI, the accused were found living in a society located in Greater Noida’s Sector Omega one. It has been revealed that they were working at the Oppo facility in the location, as stated by the police.

A police spokesperson stated, “Based on inputs, passport and visa verification of the Chinese nationals was conducted by officials of the Beta 2 police station on Wednesday and it was discovered that the validity of their documents (visas) has expired.”

As a consequence, the Chinese nationals have been detained at a detainment center in RK Puram, New Delhi, where they will undergo further proceedings for their deportation.

Providing additional details, a police official disclosed that Deng Chonckon and Meng Shouguo had arrived in India on e-business visas, granting them a stay of six months. However, it has come to light that the validity of their visas had expired on April 22.
