Two Foreign Climbers’ Bodies Found from Mount Everest

The Solukhumbu District Police Office has reported the discovery of two bodies belonging to individuals who tragically lost their lives during separate climbing expeditions on Mount Everest. The deceased have been identified as Awang Askandar, a 56-year-old climber from Malaysia who passed away on May 19, and Victor Wrinch, a 46-year-old individual from Maldives who met his unfortunate end on May 14.

Today, authorities confirmed the retrieval of these bodies. Yakub, a Malaysian citizen, was successfully rescued by helicopter and promptly transported to Kathmandu for further arrangements. However, the police have informed that the body of Victor Wrinch, a citizen of Moldova, is still awaiting recovery.
