UML suspends Top Bahadur Rayamajhi from party
CPN-UML has suspended Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi for his alleged involvement in the case related to fake Bhutanese refugees.
Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel informed that Rayamajhi has been suspended until the investigation and legal action process are finalized.
The secretariat meeting, held on Tuesday, also directed Rayamajhi to surrender to the authorities and cooperate with the state agencies in the investigation process.
Rayamajhi, who had attended a programme in Arghakhanchi last Thursday, has been absconding since the Kathmandu District Court issued an arrest warrant against him and his son.
Rayamajhi, who was supposed to return to the Capital via Bhairahawa, cancelled his flight ticket and has been contactless since.
