Unified Socialist Expels Central Committee Member Subash Karmacharya
CPN (Unified Socialist) has expelled Subash Karmacharya, a central committee member, from the party’s general membership. The decision was made due to allegations that Karmacharya had been actively undermining the party’s interests.
Jagannath Khatiwada, the Chief of Unified Socialist’s Publicity Department, released an official statement confirming the disciplinary action against Karmacharya. The statement outlined that Karmacharya had been found engaged in activities contrary to the party’s objectives and principles.
Karmacharya’s role as the Sindhupalchowk district in-charge of the party added weight to the situation. Sources indicate that the party’s decision was prompted by concerns that Karmacharya was making preparations to join CPN-UML, a rival political party.
